It’s not common knowledge but a faulty radiator which is not reacting to its set pressure can cause a vehicle to overheat and needs to be replaced.

All thermostats are set to open at a defined temperature setting. This in turn allows the water/coolant to flow through and cool. If you are experiencing low or no heat through the air vents, this could be caused by a faulty thermostat. Any engine experiencing overheating issues will invariably create problems and should be tackled immediately.
