Lexus IS250 2.5 2006 (petrol) - Wishbones and Suspension Arms

Wishbone and Suspension arms represent the not so obvious but most common wearing part on any vehicle. Sometimes it’s a wiser choice to replace a complete arm as the problem bush may be too difficult to remove and replace, and often require a hydraulic press. Suspension parts, rubber mounts such as bushings rank among the most vulnerable automotive components on your [make IS250. They’re designed to absorb the high loads occurring during acceleration, braking, cornering and going over road bumps and potholes to stabilise the control arm and therefore are subject to critical levels of strain.

A faulty rubber mount will normally result in a knock-on-effect and will transfer the impact along to other components on the chassis, therefore an inspection of the undercarriage would be wise at each service interval.
